Poetry

from A Concoction of Glass Bees
Lynn Strongin

You lift the top of the world for me
Inside                everything glinters
One thing walks away
              What is that?
Without a hat or talking
Head bent
A Madonna in blue
If it were you
Gently it would lift the pin                    like silk                         make me smile at this strange
Shadowlike thing protecting almost which was
Piercing.
