Poetry

Pin Light
Sheila Murphy

I go out to rescue letters
from their process of delivery.

She wears glasses to accompany
a false smile meant to symphonize.

What has been written bleeds from skin
less in evidence than content on the page.

His depth blasphemes until an epitaph
replaces symmetry that cures the wood.

Heights arrive without us or we
surf away and think a different lie.
