Poetry

A line from Niccolo Machiavelli
Mark Young

The arrival of a
direct signal or
some other hard-
coded variety of

iodine juxtaposes
exons in a way
normal translation
cannot do. Money

matters, actually
supplements the
ontological resources,
provides a secondary

layer of information
that can also be
assessed. It's a return
to first principles, a

particular memory
of a distant place,
the kind of problem
paleontologists love.
